If You Don't See The Holes, You Will Fall Into Them...

FOCUS ON YOUR STRENGTH! FOCUS ON YOUR STRENGTH! FOCUS ON YOUR STRENGTH!

I believe that focusing on your strengths are absolutely vital to your success.  In fact, if you don't focus on your strengths, you're likely to focus on your weakness and end up producing "more of the same" from the past.  Acknowledging your strong points are important for building your confidence, creating an optimistic outlook in life and visualizing what's possible.   YOU CAN NOT SUCCEED IF YOU DON'T KNOW YOUR STRENGTHS!!! Unfortunately, the people who con you out of $$$lump sums$$$ of money, acknowledge and focus on their ability to LIE as their STRENGTH, when in fact is is their ability to see a goal, relate to people, and communicate in such a way as to captivate, even hypnotize you to produce their desired outcome.  Part of what makes them successful at it is their confidence.  They KNOW Their STRENGTH! My question to you is: DO YOU KNOW YOUR STRENGTHS?

What are they?  Take some time and list those strengths and why you believe they are strengths.  Do other people notice these same traits about you?  How many times have you been complimented on that same skill, habit, practice or way of being?  List it down and make note of it.  It's not vain to acknowledge and list your strengths, it's vain to think that ALL YOU ARE IS YOUR STRENGTHS... *laughing* THEN, you have a Problem!  In fact, Your strengths must parallel some weaknesses that you possess. In fact, NOT KNOWING YOUR WEAKNESSES CAN BE MORE DANGEROUS THAN NOT KNOWING YOUR STRENGTHS.  One colleague of mine and I were having a conversation regarding rights and wrongs.    He ended the conversation saying "I may not be perfect, but I figure if I stop doing what I know NOT to do, I  will be much closer to doing what I NEED to do."  As paradox and backwards the statement was, it was a totally sound argument.

An example:  In New York, we have beautiful asphalted streets that endure multiple weather conditions.  However, when it rains, these same streets that can hold hundreds and thousands of tons per day seem to melt like ice on a hot frying pan and creates what we call "potholes" - these mini-ditches and puddles of holes that vary in depth and width.  Some Potholes can potentially damage and destroy a car's tires or muffler system if a driver isn't careful to look out for the holes.  These "holes" from falling rain are metaphorically equivalent to our "holes" aka Weaknesses.  Sometimes, due to circumstances and victimization, we harbor fears, habits, attitudes, behaviors and practices that sabotage any success we obtain.  Without acknowledging and KNOWING OUR WEAKNESSES, we are walking around with confidence in STRENGTHS that become our enemies when we fall into the "holes" we overlook.   These weaknesses/holes can crush us if we aren't aware of them and knowledgeable on how to maneuver around or through them.  WE MUST KNOW OUR WEAKNESSES because they are HOLES in our Person, our character, our way of being that can snatch away our joy in an instant.  If You Don't See The Holes, You Will Fall Into Them.  and you cannot afford to keep falling all the time or something will break.

Knowing your weakness is not a weakness, but an upperhand.  It is your opportunity to create strength through new habits, new routines, new attitudes and ways of being.  The fact is, if you FOCUS ON YOUR WEAKNESS, you become a person addicted to what they are not and eventually practice self-sabotage in all areas of life where success is possible.  If you FOCUS ON YOUR STRENGTH, you become a person that develops a high level of confidence and security that can make or break you (if you don't know what your  weak areas are).  Create balance for yourself by being willing to vulnerably examine what you're NOT good at.  It isn't threatening as soon as you have the resolve to acknowledge and build yourself in that area.

Having a negative perspective on life and bad assessment of yourself is literally "Aborting" the promise with in you. God NEVER intended for you to fail, but because of how the world is, the environment, the company we keep, the norms, trends and secret laws that are in place, failure is inevitable. However, Failure, Challenges, Tests are only Steps on the Ladder of Success and Living a Fulfilled Life.

Do you appreciate a check more when it came to you for doing nothing? Or do you appreciate it more after working arduously and seeing it pay off in big $$$? Of course, the latter because it feels great to be compensated for what "You Put In" on any given day. Your destiny is also comprised of "What You Put In" via thought, belief, spoken word or physical action which usually communicates your intent and inner belief.

EVERYONE - and there is no exception - has the potential to be great! In fact, We are all GREAT by choice, not by accident. We all possess a uniqueness that is our own that if tapped, awakened, or discovered breeds a continuous domino effect of lives being impacted and people inspired to BE WHO GOD INTENDED FOR THEM TO BE...

Consider the Universe to be equivalent to Cyberspace. If you are at work, any email you send can make or break you. If the wrong person receives the email, you can suffer tremendous repercussion from it. If it is received by the right person, you are likely to be rewarded by a job well done, efficiency and of course recognition that may be acknowledged verbally or fiscally. In Cyberspace, any image of yourself you put up on onesite has the chance of appearing on anysite, like your past choices. In like manner, anything positive you declare, promote, endorse is duly noted by your peers and outsiders which in the end can lead to a job offer, internship opportunity, promotion, exposure, etc. When you SPEAK ATHING it goes out in the universe and it's carried out by angels assigned to answer your prayers. Your spoken word is then manifest in the thinking and circumstances of those that can influence, produce or help nurture this spoken request. Then as opportunities open up, these angels return to whisper in your spirit that what you have requested has been "sent" and "replied to" with the prospect of it producing the "intended communication" and "intended outcome" if you are willing... at this "receipt" in your spirit, you undergo the birth pangs of "POSSIBILITY" and manifesting your Destiny.

Now, the advantage to those who seek God and His Righteousness through Christ is the "Covering" over your life setting up "FireWalls" against the "deletion" and "cancellation" of your promising future. This life is open to change. Your Life and Your dreams are vulnerable to the possibility of being communicated to the wrong spirits and hence producing the wrong, unintended outcome. Having A GOD that is EVERYWHERE, ALL THE TIME, IN EVERYTHING concerned with EVERY DETAIL OF YOUR LIFE AND BEING is an amazing thing. It leads to an adventurous life of hope and thriving despite the storms that come, because the knowledge that the Creator of the Universe Loves and is Committed to protecting you and Your Dreams creates Courage and Resilience.

Recession-Proof Attitude

When things don't go your way. Layoffs, Downsizing, Health Costs, Family Issues, Loss of Loved Ones and Back-Stabbing by People you thought were trustworthy colleagues and/or friends. All of these circumstances can lead anyone to feel bitter, harbor resentment, experience discouragement and get into that "funk" of not wanting to "do anything anymore..."

Listen. If Life were so bad, you wouldn't be breathing, literally. Life has hit you with its worst and you're still here. If anyone can make it through Life it's you. You've gone through ups and downs in relationships before. You've had to pick yourself up from rockbottom before. Getting hit never feels good. Any professional boxer and athlete can tell you that. However, the knowledge that you have come back from earlier heartache, pain, suffering signals to you that you don't have to like being hit. You just have to like how you look when you look down at your opponent after rising back up to Victory!

Life hits hard. People change, relationships and secure things in life fluctuate. But one thing that is consistent is that as long as you're breathing, you have the power to "bring it back" and show yourself AND the world what you're made of.

I believe you have more than what it takes to shift the tide in your favor.

Faith and Courage are the surfboard and glider that enable you to navigate through the tides and come back from a crash until you finally dominate the waves of the recession.
